| The Anna's House Foundation Board of Directors Jason Nelson, Chairman Jason serves the state of Oklahoma as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Jason has been directly involved in Oklahoma politics and government in Oklahoma for more than 15 years. He has served as Director of Government Relations for CMS Strategies since January 2004. Over the course of eight years, Jason served in a variety of roles on Governor Frank Keating's staff, including, but not limited to, legislative liaison to the Oklahoma House of Representatives during the last three years of Keating's second term. His accomplishments and contribution to both state and local goverment in Oklahoma are numerous. Jason also served as Vice President of Future Investment Company, a local real estate development firm, was a member of the Central Oklahoma State and National Home Builders Association where he served as a regional political representative and his duties included leading membership training seminars regarding major policy issues, political action committee fundraising and grassroots lobbying by realtor members. Jason and his wife Lori reside in Oklahoma City and have two children.
Charles Mooney, Vice Chairman Charles currently serves in an administrative role for a large not-for-profit corporation in Oklahoma. He is a graduate of Troy State University, University of Alabama Birmingham and Oklahoma City University. He holds a masters degree in Transfusion Medicine and Business Administration. Charles moved to Oklahoma in 1996 from Birmingham, Alabama. He is married with two small children, one of whom is adopted. His love for children and heart for local adoption has led him to serve the Lord with the Anna's House Foundation as its board Vice Chairman.
Carol A. Harkins, Secretary A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Carol has spent over 40 years serving in an Executive Assistant role to executives in the Oklahoma City private and non-profit sector. Her organizational skills and administrative abilities are an indispensible and integral part of the Anna's House Foundation. Through the influence of her college roomate and dear friend she was led to the Lord during her freshman year of college. She has been an active member of Metropolitan Baptist Church for 30 years and credits the teaching there for her continuing "hunger for God's word" and desire to serve the Lord with the Anna's House Foundation. Carol has three grown sons and six grandchildren, two of whom are foster/adoptive. She is proud to call "Anna" her grandaughter for whom the foundation is named. Norma K. Thomson, Treasurer Norma Thomson and her husband Joe live in Oklahoma City and are faithful church members of Metropolitan Baptist Church where Norma shares her talent for piano and organ. Her accounting and financial expertise and attention to detail, along with her analytical skill, make her an asset to the Board of Directors. She is excited to support the work of AHF and looks forward to seeing God's work accomplished in the lives of Oklahoma children. Gregory M. Harkins, Director A U.S. Navy Veteran, Greg was raised in Oklahoma City. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University until joining the Navy. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City. Greg has worked in the telecommunications industry for over ten years in both sales and management positions in Oklahoma City and has recently stepped into his full time role with AHF. He has served on the Board of Directors for Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School, and has been very active with middle and high school ministries for many years. Greg has a deep and sincere desire to see the babies and toddlers in the Oklahoma foster system receive the best we can give them. He is a committed member of Heritage Presbyterian Church, PCA in Edmond OK, and father of eight children. Four of his children are foster/adoptive. "Being a daddy is the greatest gift God has ever given me" and through the ministries of The Anna's House Foundation he looks forward to sharing that love with the children of Oklahoma. Greg and his wife of 18 years live in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. Jill Hast-Mooney, M.D. Jill is a local board certified radiologist. She is a graduate of Indiana University and the University of Chicago School of Medicine. Jill's experience in private practice and teaching resident physicians has given her a passion to ensure excellence in health care for all Oklahoma women. As a mother of an adopted child, Jill has seen first hand the need for people to get involved in the lives of Oklahoma's foster children. Jill currently lives in Oklahoma City with her husband Charles and their two children. Robert E. Black A 1975 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Robert has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a major in Management. He is a 1982 graduate of the Oklahoma City University School of Law and has been a practicing trial attorney in Oklahoma City since graduating from law school. He is an active member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Oklahoma City where he has attended regularly since 1992. He has been a member of the Deacon Board and currently serves on the Board of Elders. In addition, Mr. Black is the Sunday School Superintendent for Metropolitan supervising 13 adult Sunday School Classes. He and his wife, Janet, have two children and reside in Edmond, Oklahoma. Carolyn Churchill "Mimi" as she is affectionately called by her 14 precious grandchildren, Carolyn has been married to Monty, owner/broker of a local real estate company in Oklahoma City, for 41 years. They have raised one son and three daughters, all of whom are now married with children of their own. Trained as a first grade teacher, Carolyn long ago made the decision to stay at home and raise her children as a full time mother and homemaker. Carolyn is known to all who love her as a "prayer warrior" and faithful servant of the Lord. When she is not taking care of her grandchildren, she is teaching women's Precept Bible Studies or working with college-aged adults at her church. Elizabeth Harkins Mother of eight, foster mother to many, Elizabeth has committed her adult life to the raising of her children and being a wife and homemaker. After studying English at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma she has held several volunteer board positions in the community including Oklahoma City Christian Women's Club, Nichols Hills Elementary PTA, and Oklahoma City MAPS for Kids Parent Resource Committee. A committed member of Heritage Presbyterian Church, PCA in Edmond, OK, she is committed to advocating for Oklahoma's youngest foster children and spends a great deal of time in research and communications with DHS and other local agencies to aide her in this endeavor. As assistant to the director of the Anna's House Foundation, she hopes to glorify God in all the ministries AHF has to offer.
