You can't do everything but everyone can do something.
As the body of Christ we are all called in our walk and constant sanctification to take part in kingdom furthering activity.
For some, this is a calling to the missions field. For others, this is supporting those missionaries financially. We can all do something. We can go, send or pray.
For AHF, we need foster parents to serve God and the children of Oklahoma. But that doesn't mean that if you can't be a foster parent that you don't have a role to play.
Just as important as the job of fostering is, the support of those families and the children is equally important. We feel very strongly about this. There are children waiting for families in the shelters that need a loving care giver to help in this scary transition. Bringing joy and comfort to them is an extension of our kingdom responsibilities.
Service Opportunities
Come help hold and rock babies, play games, make music and crafts for infants and children in the shelter or hospital.

The contents of our resource room are constantly evolving and require regular organization and upkeep as we want our families to feel like they are receiving quality items, even when they are gently used. Another part of this ministry is ‘welcome baskets’. Every new foster placement into an Anna’s House home receives a laundry basket filled with goodies and essentials that are age appropriate and help meet the needs of the foster parents that inevitably come with a new placement.

This is a fun job! This group would help collect and organize donations as well as help distribute them to the families and shelter. Currently, the projects we have ongoing are as follows:
Valentines & goodie bags
Easter baskets
Thanksgiving food baskets
Christmas food and gift baskets.

This is a perfect fit for the men of the group! Occasionally we have families that are working hard to reunite with their children and have many tangible needs. Often this can be very basic needs such as transportation, moving help, coordinating basic household needs such as furniture and groceries, sometimes even light to moderate “handyman” work in order to make their home suitable to bring their children home! This ministry also includes general maintenance at AHF‘s current property and will evolve into the cleanup and maintenance of The Ranch at Anna’s House property in the future. It is a tangible way to share the love of Christ with hurting families and we look forward to making a real difference in the reunification process of the foster children in AHF homes through this ministry. greg@annashousefoundation.org
This event is scheduled for Saturday evening, September 19, 2009. It will be held at the Express Events Center Ballroom in Oklahoma City. This is our main fundraiser for the beginning of our capital fundraising campaign for The Ranch at Anna’s House project.
Many hands make light work and this event needs lots of volunteers. We will meet monthly, then bi-weekly and finally every week the month prior to the event. Please pray about how you might get involved!
