Beauty From Ashes

It was an emotional day for our agency on March 12th, 2022. That particular afternoon, a fire heavily damaged one of the homes in our foster care community. The Lord is sweet in his blessing and the family is safe. For those looking to help, we ask for your prayers. We pray for peace for the family involved, peace for our entire foster care community, and peace for our foster children who have already experienced trauma as they process today’s events.

UPDATE: March 20th, 2022

What an incredible community of donors, supporters, and followers we have! Within 3 hours of the fire we had $2,000 worth of clothing, toys, hygiene products, food, and household items for the foster family. 3 staff members and 1 board member dropped everything they were doing on Saturday, helping the family emotionally and tangibly as they moved into another home on our property. Within days they had several thousand dollar gift cards to buy new items and replace old items thanks to the generosity of our donors. The Thunder Cares organization treated them to a VIP experience, giving each child $250 to spend in the Thunder shop, signed basketballs, and tickets to a Thunder Game! A Girl Scout troop in OKC found out about the fire and donated 40 boxes to our families in our neighborhood! A school did a gift card drive and students raised over $1,000 for the family! It was amazing to see our community come together for this wonderful foster family of ours. On behalf of the family, Anna’s House Foundation thanks you for your prayers and donations! God is GOOD!
