Kimray Makes Thanksgiving Possible for Foster Families
November 22nd, 2021 Oklahoma City – Kimray, an oil and gas manufacturer, donated 35 Thanksgiving Goody Baskets to foster families of Anna’s House Foundation.
This year Kimray employees made Thanksgiving possible for 35 local foster families. Kimray stocked 35 baskets with Thanksgiving goods for Anna’s House Foundation, an Edmond foster care agency. “We had an amazing response both from individuals and teams throughout Kimray who wanted to fill a basket, and sometimes more than one, with their teams,” said Kimray Event Coordinator Mica Schuyler. The response was so great, in fact, that Kimray was able to build several baskets more than they had dedicated to fill. “Some teams went as far as to purchase extra items like coloring books and crayons, not just the groceries listed, to add to the baskets,” Mica said.
The baskets left an impression on Britley Little, Anna’s House Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator. “Our staff was blown away whenever the Kimray team delivered all those incredible baskets,” she said. “Seeing them in our space was just beautiful. Having the ability to not have to go to the grocery store to buy items for Thanksgiving gives foster families more time to spend with the kids instead of worrying about a grocery list. It sounds so simple, but it does make a big impact, and without Kimray, it’s impossible for us to do”.
Thanks to the Anna’s House Young Professionals Board and volunteers, the baskets were delivered to foster families’ doors all across the metro this past weekend.
We are so thankful for Kimray!
